Mystery Writer Marcia Talley On Campus, June 8

Making Crime Pay : An Author s Journey will be the subject of a presentation by mystery writer Marcia Talley on Friday, June 8 at 3 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Founder s Suite. The event is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow the presentation.

Talley is the author of Through the Darkness, the fifth book in her Hannah Ives mystery series. Like the heroine of her mystery novels, Talley is a breast cancer survivor and is donating 10 percent of the profits from Through the Darkness to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which supports breast cancer research and education.

Talley s visit to Illinois State University is sponsored by Milner Library, the Community Cancer Center and Sisters in Crime, an international organization of women mystery writers.

Talley s other novels in the Hannah Ives series include Sing It To Her Bones (1999), Unbreathed Memories (2000), Occasion of Revenge (2001), In Death s Shadow (2004), and This Enemy Town (2005).
