The Illinois State University Percussion Ensemble will present its
spring concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 1, in Kemp Recital Hall. Admission is
free and open to the public.
The ensemble, directed by David Collier of the School of Music faculty, will perform Paul Bissell s Equal Fire, Nebojosa Zivkovic s Trio per Uno, the Allegro moderato movement from J.S. Bach s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, Astor Piazzola s Oblivion, a piece titled the persistence of past chemistries by Charles B. Griffin and Mass by John Mackey. Collier arranged the percussion for the Piazzola s composition.
Percussion Ensemble members are Ryan Borden, Matt Boze, James Coleman, Tim Daniels, Doug Ford, Damien Kaplan, Patrick Keelan, Michael Malgoza, Sarah Mullin, Zach Oostema, Lawrence Rogers and Rachel Taylor.
