Risinger has received much acclaim as both a soloist and chamber musician. She has been the recipient of many awards and grants, including first prize in the 1996 Flute Society of Washington Young Artist Competition and being a prize winner in the 1996 Myrna Brown International Competition and the 2003 Mid-America National Chamber Music Competition. A champion of new music, she has advocated and performed the works of many prominent composers and has played solo performances throughout the US and abroad, often presenting world premieres of new works written for and dedicated to her.
Favis, also a prizewinner in many competitions, has been an active performer of solo and chamber music in the U.S. and abroad. He was featured at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center with the Little Orchestra Society of New York, and was one of six performers chosen to play in a special master class taught by Julian Bream in New York City. Like his Linden Duo partner, Favis is a proponent of new music for guitar and has given the world premieres of several works.
