Professor Joe Neisler of the Illinois State University School of
Music will present a horn recital at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, in Kemp
Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.
The recital is part of the Charles W. Bolen Faculty Recital Series, named for the dean emeritus of the College of Fine Arts.
Neisler is in his 22nd year on the Music faculty. He performs with the Opera Illinois, The Prairie Ensemble and the ISU Sonneries Woodwind Quintet, and is former principal horn of the Peoria Symphony. He also has performed with the Indianapolis, Memphis and Champaign-Urbana Symphonies and Sinfonia da Camera.
Neisler is a jurist for the International Horn Competition of America, the Horn Clinician for Bands of America and has performed as a soloist and adjudicator at regional and international horn workshops. He is a bachelor s, master s and doctoral graduate in music from Indiana University.
