Illinois State University s Board of Trustees today approved an
agreement to construct a Starbucks Store in the Bone Student Center.
The agreement is part of a planning committee s vision for revitalizing the Bone Student Center s programs and physical features. The royalty and food costs will cost approximately $1.25 million over the next five years. The capital project will include design, construction and operation of a Starbucks Store on the main floor of Bone Student Center as well as the master licensing agreement, required fixture, furnishing and equipment. Construction costs will be approximately $500,000 and will come from bond revenue operating funds.
In addition to the usual Starbucks coffee and snacks, there will be a seating area incorporating the Starbucks theme. The store should open for business in the fall.
