Illinois State University s Adult Enrichment Programs, which include
Academy of Seniors and Mornings with the Professors, will start in February
and continue through July. Sponsored by the Senior Professionals of Illinois
State University and affiliated with the Elderhostel Institute Network, most
Academy of Seniors classes are held at Conference Services in the
Professional Development Building at 207 South Main in Normal, and Mornings
with the Professors are held at St. John s Lutheran Church, Emerson and
Towanda in Bloomington.
Academy of Seniors offers four sessions for $40, and the speakers and their topics include:

The cost for Mornings with the Professors is $40 for all five sessions or $15 for individual sessions and may be paid at the door.
This year s Lunchtime Journey will include lectures on four ethnicities with ethnic meals provided. Classes will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., at a cost of $115. The April 19 class will be held at the AME Church and will focus on African American traditions; the class on April 26 will be on German traditions and held at the Bayern Strube Restaurant in Gibson City, with bus transportation at 10:30 a.m.; the class on May 3 will be on Korean traditions and held at the Hayashi Restaurant; and the class on May 10 will be on Scottish traditions and held at the 2nd Presbyterian Church.
The Summer Series will offer two courses from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The Shakespeare class will be $40 and the cooking class will be $55 and will provide four breakfast/brunches.
