This year marks two important milestones for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival.

First, the Festival will be presenting its 30th anniversary season and celebrating with a variety of special events. Notably, ISU Alumni Night will be the evening of Saturday July 14. The production that night will be Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing, directed by associate professor of Theatre and Illinois State alumna Deb Alley.

The second highpoint of the season is the welcoming of the new artistic director, Alec Wild, to the Festival. In addition to Much Ado about Nothing, Wild has chosen two more of Shakespeare's best works to round out the season: Love's Labour's Lost and Henry V. Wild will direct Henry V. Guest director Stephen Fried, resident assistant director of the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C, will direct Love s Labour s Lost.

The season runs from June 27 through August 14. Tickets go on sale May 1. For more information visit www.thefestival.org The Festival box office is located in the Centennial Building on campus and also can be reached at (309) 438-2535.
