Along with Illinois State colleagues Saad El-Zanati and Willy Hunter, Mahatanankoon applied for and secured nearly $600,000 in NSF grant funding to support a new scholarship program in the School of Information Technology. The NSF Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) grant will provide financial support for academically talented students from underrepresented groups.
Illinois State University College of Education faculty and staff along with students and local citizens are confronting the crisis in Latino education by participating in “A Day of Courageous Conversations,” on Monday, March 29, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Alumni Center.
