If you covered a table with pages and pages of census data, no one’s smile would be broader than Winfred Avogo, a population studies specialist and demographer in his second year on the Sociology faculty.
Mark Vegter is an Illinois State University English graduate with an impressive resume. Topping his accomplishments are over 16 years of advising at Illinois State, the past few in the English department. He also serves as the outgoing PRIDE academic advisor and chair of the Academic Advisor Advisory Council, an area very near to his heart.
The call for papers for the 15th annual Women’s and Gender Studies Symposium is underway. Program Director Alison Bailey said “The Symposium may be one of Illinois State University’s best kept secrets.”
The Student Affairs program, On Common Grounds . . . from introspection to action, is relatively new, but it has already won a divisional STAR Award for promotion of diversity as well as consistent praise from participants.
